Turn Around

“Turn Around” – written and read through Walter
Having dipped your toes
into the infinite ocean,
causing your breath to
hitch and catch
and your mind collapse,
the present moment revealed,
pure and unalloyed

Having disappeared
for even a second
to that placeless place
and timeless time,
an indelible impression
of perfection beyond form
stamped on the periphery of your mind

Having remembered your true nature,
could you continue to allow
the senses to run amok
drawing you toward transience,
making investments in impermanence,
being controlled by mind,
and choosing suffering over peace?

Having found your way home,
turn around
and end the quest
to find what was not lost,
to reveal what was never hidden,
to embrace what has always held you
and disappear into yourself
