“In and of itself” is another way of saying “on its own” or “by its very nature.”
All roads lead to the same point,
each apparent move away
is arriving home for the first time.
Signposts provide direction,
never over there, only ever here.
Never then or when, only ever now.
Traveling far and wide,
many embark on a journey
to seek what was never lost.
Those who recognize home
may wander unfettered without compass,
never losing their way.
No one has ever come
from elsewhere to visit.
None were born here, none will die here.
This kingdom, in and of itself,
remains hidden from those who
would claim it for themselves.
Ignorance the lock,
Self-knowledge the key.
