What’s in a name, a label applied
does it truly reveal the essence inside?
Describing the surface of what is perceived
if we trust this description the mind is deceived.
For this label depicts only what senses can know
overlooking the Truth where the mind cannot go.
Yet labels are useful to divide what appears
to be separate objects, communication made clear.
But in knowing what we are beyond words
there is no need to label a tree or a bird.
Prior to labels that imply a sense of control
no thing exists apart from this one seamless whole.
Separation does not survive this collapse
no more subject or object or distance or gaps.
Investigate what’s on offer, go beyond form and name
what you knew as a child is here now to reclaim.
