Remember Our Heart

As SΓΈren Kierkegaard said “Once you label me, you negate me.” From the perspective of non-duality we don’t cling to our memories or judgements but rather allow each moment to reveal what is here. One of the greatest gifts we can offer to others is to not hold onto ideas of them we have created over time. Deeply understood, this speaks to the Truth: there are no others! We share the very same heart.

“Remember Our Heart” – written and read through Walter

Forget about me
whenever we part,
no name, no face,
just remember our heart

When we meet again,
each time a new start,
always fresh yet familiar,
I remember our heart.

  1. Lovely words. Yet seems so difficult to practice when the understanding is not there. I have memories and judgements coming up in relationships all the time.

    1. As we will… Until we don’t. Judgement of our judgements only doubles our suffering. Be gentle on Hari πŸ™‚

      1. Wise, as always. πŸ™‚
I hear, “Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear?”

        1. And to know (as you do) that the water is never not the water, even while mixed up with the mud.

  2. I feel privileged to know the back story on this poem, Walter. I feel myself sending a big, cosmic hug to you, your Dad and your Mom when I listen to this one.!

    1. Thank-you Lisa, your words express to me the value and beauty of community and sharing. πŸ™

    1. Yes, thanks Holger. As you had suggested, I may explore anti-spam if it becomes an issue again.

  3. The You dwells in You, not in others.
Yet, the You is always alone meeting everyone, everything, everywhere.
    Next time, this time,
    Be You, bracing itself…
    Listening, being, telling,
Among us, to all of us, with us,
What it is to be You.
    See you soon, Sylvia

  4. Walter, that’s a great title for your next book πŸ’œβš˜πŸ™πŸ’ž
