Adversity

Faced with each adversity,
Truth will not negate,
the challenges that appear to us
but will transform how we relate

Remaining still as life unfolds
in silence beyond mind,
we meet each seeming obstacle
resistance left behind

Suspended within the infinite,
this body held by grace,
our expectations and entitlements
lose their lofty place

Encountering pain in any form
grants a chance to see,
that suffering is optional
and with this we are free

Make use of every stumbling block
that the mind may term unfair,
discover the truth of what you are
that not-as-two we share
